Mealworms can convert single-use plastics into biodegradable compost
Single-use plastics threaten every part of the planet. It’s an existential crisis that requires global cooperation.
Our mission is to break down existing polystyrene and polyethylene through Darkling Beetle larvae (mealworms) into organic compost, and to create eco-friendly products from our waste.
Our vision is to replace all polystyrene and polyethylene in America with biologically-based, compostable materials.
Someday, countries will no longer create polystyrene and polyethylene products, and we can feed the mealworms an entirely plant-based diet. Until then, we need a solution for the plastic crisis.
