These grocery bags are crocheted from “plarn,” a plastic yarn made from single-use polyethylene bags (grocery bags, plastic packaging, mailers, etc). The plastic used is donated after serving its purpose, we neither collect unused plastic nor increase plastic production in any way. All scraps from the bag-making process are fed to mealworms. Cost goes toward labor, shipping, and MealCycling efforts.
